Many businesses are born out of frustration – and mine was no different. As a tennis player in London, I constantly faced obstacles that made enjoying the sport unnecessarily difficult. One of the most persistent issues was finding a reliable stringing service. Most options were tied to private clubs, which were often inaccessible. The few high-street stores that did offer stringing were expensive, had long turnaround times, and were staffed by stringers who had never actually played the game. On top of that, there was the time and effort spent traveling into central London just to get a racquet restrung.

I’ve been stringing racquets since my junior playing days, but it never occurred to me to offer it as a service – until recently. After yet another annoying trip into town to drop off my racquet, I went straight to the court… and promptly snapped a string. That was the last straw. I bit the bullet and invested in a professional-grade stringing machine. It was a big financial hit, but one I don’t regret. I started stringing my own racquets again, then for friends and fellow players. Word got around, and soon people started suggesting I offer it as a service. So I did… and here we are.

I now provide racquet stringing services – but that’s just the start. I offer pickup and delivery. I understand the needs of players because I am one. I string better, with faster turnaround times, and at fairer prices. I’m responsive and available at short notice (and I promise, I’m not usually this self-promoting in person).
